Creativity is part of whole-person learning

Art and music invite students to observe carefully, practice patiently and communicate ideas in ways that words alone cannot always capture. CCA includes creative learning among its published enrichment priorities because education should develop more than a narrow set of academic skills.

Within a Christian educational framework, creativity is approached as a gift to steward. Students can grow in skill while learning humility, perseverance, discernment and respect for the contributions of others.

What creative learning can develop

Attention

Notice detail, pattern, tone, structure and the choices that shape a finished work.

Practice

Improve through repetition, feedback, patience and care rather than expecting immediate mastery.

Expression

Communicate ideas and emotion with clarity, imagination and appropriate confidence.

Contribution

Use developing abilities to encourage others and strengthen the life of a community.

Current opportunities belong in a current conversation

Class schedules, performances, projects and grade-level offerings may change. The website does not invent an ensemble, production calendar or course sequence that has not been verified. Admissions or the school office can explain what is available for your student now.

Arts and music questions
