Building foundations that continue to grow

The elementary years shape how children approach learning. Students develop the reading, writing and mathematical skills that open later subjects, while learning to ask questions, organize work, communicate ideas and persevere when a task is challenging.

CCA connects these academic foundations with Biblical truth and Christian character. Knowledge matters, and so do the habits with which students pursue it: discipline, honesty, confidence, teachability, respect and care for other people.

A broad elementary foundation

Reading and writing

Literacy helps students comprehend ideas, communicate clearly and continue learning across subjects.

Mathematics

Students build understanding, accuracy and problem-solving habits appropriate to their stage of learning.

Science and social studies

Children explore the created world, human communities, evidence, cause and responsibility through a Biblical worldview.

Bible and chapel

Age-appropriate Bible instruction and weekly chapel support spiritual understanding and a shared Christian community.

Known as a learner, challenged to progress

Elementary students do not all bring the same strengths or grow at the same pace. CCA’s curriculum philosophy emphasizes abilities and progress over time, encouraging teachers to provide appropriate challenge while helping students build the skills and confidence to keep moving forward.

This is not a guarantee of a separate plan or intervention service for every student. Parents should discuss specific needs and currently available support with the school. The underlying commitment is to look at the child’s real growth rather than treating a grade level as the whole story.

Faith, character and classroom community

A Biblical worldview helps younger students connect truth with the way they speak, work and treat others. Classroom life provides daily opportunities to practice responsibility, receive correction, show compassion, resolve conflict and take appropriate ownership of choices.

The Warrior values give families and educators a shared language for this formation. Courage, discipline, confidence, teachability, compassion, respect, character, leadership and service are not substitutes for academics; they are part of becoming the kind of person who uses learning well.

A well-rounded path toward middle school

CCA’s published elementary experience includes art, music and physical education alongside core subjects. These areas give students opportunities to create, listen, move, practice, collaborate and discover developing interests. Current schedules and grade-level offerings should be confirmed with the school.

By the end of the elementary years, preparation includes stronger academic skills, growing independence and a foundation for the increased responsibility of middle school.
