A growing school with a continuing mission

Crossroads Christian Academy’s history is a story of steady development. Programs, organizational structure and campus space have changed over time, yet the central commitment to Christ-centered learning and service to families has remained.

The milestones below are drawn from CCA’s published history. They explain what changed and when without assigning motives or details that the historical record does not provide.

Milestones in the CCA story

  1. 2005 · A beginning in ministry

CCA began as a ministry of Crossroads Church under Pastor Lonnie Potts.

  2. 2008 · Kindergarten through eighth grade

The school received its Ohio charter as a private Christian K–8 school.

A partnership with an online community school provided public high-school coursework in a Christian environment during this period.

  4. 2019 · A private K–12 school

A private, nonpublic K–12 charter enabled CCA to provide a Christian high-school curriculum.

From one ministry to a connected K–12 journey

The move from a K–8 school toward a private K–12 program broadened the years during which families could remain within one Christian educational community. That continuity now connects elementary and secondary learning, while Creation Station supports families before kindergarten and beyond the school day.

The 2022 nonprofit transition clarified the academy’s organizational identity. CCA remains connected to its ministry roots while operating as Crossroads Christian Academy of Circleville, Inc., the organization that also governs Creation Station.

Two campuses. One mission.

Opening Ohio Street Campus in January 2026 created a dedicated location for middle and high school and additional capacity at the Tarlton Road site. Families now encounter different spaces across the school journey, but both campuses share the same mission, educational philosophy and Warrior identity.

History at CCA is still being written. Future claims about enrollment, facilities or program growth should be added only after school confirmation, keeping the public story accurate as the academy continues to develop.
